Educational Qualification

The required qualification, experience and preferred certifications vary according to the post. Candidates must meet the eligibility conditions as of 30 September 2026.

1. GM & Chief AI Officer

Mandatory Qualification:

B.E., B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication or an equivalent discipline; or

M.Sc. in Statistics or Computer Science, M.A. in Statistics, M.Stat. or MCA from a recognised university or institution.

Preferred Qualification and Certifications:

MBA, PGDM or equivalent qualification with specialisation in Finance.

Certifications in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, web crawling or neural networks.

Mandatory Experience:

At least 15 years of experience in Banking, BFSI or the IT sector.

At least 3 years of senior leadership experience in AI, analytics, model oversight, governance and business transformation.

Leadership experience must involve multiple stakeholders and a sizeable team. Individual contributor experience will not count towards this requirement.

Experience in Scheduled Commercial Banks or Fortune 500 companies is preferred.

2. DGM (Risk and Operational Analytics)

Mandatory Qualification:

B.E., B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication or equivalent; or

M.Sc. in Statistics or Computer Science, M.A. in Statistics, M.Stat. or MCA from a recognised university or institution.

Preferred Qualification and Certifications:

MBA, PGDM or equivalent qualification with specialisation in Finance.

Certifications in ML, AI, Natural Language Processing, web crawling or neural networks.

Mandatory Experience:

At least 10 years of experience in Banking, BFSI or IT.

At least 2 years in a senior leadership role involving risk analytics, operational analytics, AI/ML model oversight, model governance and business transformation.

Experience leading a sizeable team is required. Experience in Scheduled Commercial Banks or the BFSI sector is preferred.

3. DGM (AI Governance and Compliance)

Mandatory Qualification:

B.E., B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication or equivalent; or

M.Sc. in Statistics or Computer Science, M.A. in Statistics, M.Stat. or MCA from a recognised university or institution.

Preferred Qualification and Certifications:

MBA, PGDM or equivalent qualification with specialisation in Finance.

Certifications in ML, AI, Natural Language Processing, web crawling or neural networks.

Mandatory Experience:

At least 10 years of experience in Banking, BFSI or IT.

At least 2 years in a senior leadership role involving AI governance, responsible AI, model risk management, regulatory compliance, data privacy, information security or technology risk.

Experience leading a sizeable team and driving business transformation is required. Experience in Scheduled Commercial Banks or BFSI is preferred.

4. DGM (Data Engineering, Model Application Development and AI Ops)

Mandatory Qualification:

B.E., B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication or equivalent; or

M.Sc. in Statistics or Computer Science, M.A. in Statistics, M.Stat. or MCA from a recognised university or institution.

Preferred Qualification and Certifications:

MBA, PGDM or equivalent qualification with specialisation in Finance.

Certifications in ML, AI, Natural Language Processing, web crawling or neural networks.

Mandatory Experience:

At least 10 years of experience in Banking, BFSI or IT.

At least 2 years in a senior leadership role involving data engineering, AI/ML application development, MLOps/AI Ops, enterprise integration and technology transformation.

Experience leading a sizeable team is required. Experience in Scheduled Commercial Banks or BFSI is preferred.

5. AI Solution Architect

Mandatory Qualification:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, AI, Business Administration, Management or a related discipline from a recognised university or institution.

Preferred Certifications:

Certification in AI Solution Architecture.

Certification in business analysis or product management.

Certifications in ML, AI, Natural Language Processing, web crawling or neural networks.

Mandatory Experience:

At least 8 years of overall experience.

At least 3 years in AI/analytics solutioning, digital transformation, technology consulting or solution architecture.

Experience translating business requirements into enterprise technology or AI solutions is required; BFSI experience is preferred.

6. Enterprise AI Architect

Mandatory Qualification:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, AI or an equivalent discipline from a recognised university or institution.

Preferred Certifications:

TOGAF certification.

Certification in Enterprise AI Architecture covering end-to-end AI/ML and digital platform solutions.

Mandatory Experience:

At least 8 years of overall technology experience.

At least 3 years in enterprise, platform, data or AI architecture.

Experience with large-scale AI/ML environments is required; experience in BFSI or another regulated industry is preferred.

Additional Eligibility Conditions

Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

The eligibility cut-off date for age, educational qualification and post-qualification work experience is 30 September 2026.

Training and teaching experience will not count towards eligibility.

Individual contributor experience will not count towards the mandatory senior leadership experience requirement.

If a degree or diploma certificate does not specify the specialisation, candidates must produce a certificate from the concerned university or college confirming the specialisation.

Age Limit

GM & Chief AI Officer: Minimum 40 years; maximum 55 years.

DGM (Risk and Operational Analytics): Minimum 35 years; maximum 50 years.

DGM (AI Governance and Compliance): Minimum 35 years; maximum 50 years.

DGM (Data Engineering, Model Application Development and AI Ops): Minimum 35 years; maximum 50 years.

AI Solution Architect: Minimum 30 years; maximum 45 years.

Salary / Pay Scale

The posts offer negotiable annual Cost to Company (CTC), depending on the candidate's experience, current remuneration and place of posting.

GM & Chief AI Officer: Up to ₹160 lakh per annum.

DGM (Risk and Operational Analytics): Up to ₹120 lakh per annum.

DGM (AI Governance and Compliance): Up to ₹120 lakh per annum.

DGM (Data Engineering, Model Application Development and AI Ops): Up to ₹120 lakh per annum.

AI Solution Architect: Up to ₹90 lakh per annum.

Enterprise AI Architect: Up to ₹90 lakh per annum.

CTC Structure and Increment

Fixed Pay: 90% of CTC.

Variable Pay: 10% of CTC.

Annual Increment Band: Up to 5%; increments from the second year onward may be proposed up to 10%, depending on performance.

The variable pay will depend on the officer's performance score:

99%–100% score: 100% of variable pay.

97%–98.99% score: 90% of variable pay.

94%–96.99% score: 80% of variable pay.

90%–93.99% score: 70% of variable pay.

Below 90%: No variable pay.

Contract Period

Initial engagement will be for 3 years.

The contract may be renewed for a further period of up to 2 years at the bank's discretion, on mutually agreed terms.

The total engagement period cannot exceed 5 years.

Either party may terminate the contract by giving 3 months' notice or by payment/surrender of compensation equivalent to 3 months.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Shortlisting

Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview. The bank's shortlisting committee will determine the parameters and shortlist a suitable number of candidates.

2. Interview

The interview carries 100 marks.

For GM & Chief AI Officer and all three DGM posts, shortlisted candidates must deliver a 10-minute presentation covering their relevant job profile, projects undertaken or professional milestones.

Qualifying marks will be decided by the bank.

Interview details will be uploaded to the bank's website or communicated by email. No hard copy of the call letter will be sent.

3. CTC Negotiation

CTC negotiation will take place individually during the interview or separately after the interview process.

4. Merit List

The final merit list will be prepared in descending order of interview scores.

In the event of a tie in cut-off marks, the older candidate will be ranked higher.

Travelling Allowance for Interview

Eligible outstation candidates called for an interview may receive reimbursement of travel expenses by economy-class air travel on the shortest route within India.

GM & Chief AI Officer and all three DGM posts: Actual economy-class airfare.

AI Solution Architect and Enterprise AI Architect: Up to ₹15,000 for the round trip or the actual fare, whichever is lower.

Candidates found ineligible at the interview stage will not be allowed to appear for the interview and will not receive travelling expense reimbursement.
