Educational Qualification

Assistant Professor & Equivalent – General Disciplines

For posts other than Agro-meteorology, Agricultural Statistics, Agricultural Business Management, Computer Science and Food Science & Technology, candidates should have:

• Relevant Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Community Science or Veterinary Science, as applicable to the post.
• For Sericulture, Bachelor's degree in Sericulture or Agriculture.
• Master's degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks, or MCGPA of 3.00/4.00 or 7.00/10.00.
• Qualified NET, or NET exemption for eligible Ph.D. holders under the specified UGC regulations, subject to the publication requirements mentioned in the notification.
• For the interview call, a minimum PBAS/API score of 44 out of 80 for General candidates and 40 out of 80 for SC/ST candidates is required.

For eligible Ph.D. candidates claiming NET exemption, the supplied notification details specify at least two full-length publications having NAAS rating of not less than 5 on the last date of application.

Assistant Professor – Agro-Meteorology

• Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics or Meteorology as the major subject, or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Community Science, Fisheries or Forestry.
